More Information for Families

Types of Nannies we place

We place full-time, part-time, live-in, live-out, temporary (less than 6 months), summer, weekend, newborn care specialists, and housekeepers as well.

Our screening process

We have a very detailed screening process that we pride ourselves on. Not only do we interview candidates in person, but we call a minimum of three work related references, two personal references, do a thorough social media check, and complete a 5-point background check. We also encourage all of our nannies to become members of International Nanny Association and the US Nanny Association as both organizations provide valuable learning materials and seminars for nannies.

How do you find your candidates?

We are partners with multiple organizations as well as have recruiters within the industry working for us. A lot of nannies find us through a simple Google search or word of mouth. We are very involved in the community of Nannies and frequently attend conferences through INA, Nannypalooza, as well as USNA.

What to pay a Nanny

Most full-time live-out Nannies expect $18-$25 an hour. Our part-time live-out Nannies typically expect $20-$30 an hour. Live-in Nannies make the same pay as a live-out nanny.

When to sign up

We always encourage families to sign up as soon as they know they will need a Nanny. We typically place within six to eight weeks. When communication is open between the family and our staff, we are able to place a nanny more efficiently. Each individual process is unique though!

Interviewing Nannies

We send a maximum of six candidates per search, although we vary rarely send more than three or four. Most families typically only interview three nannies before making their decision. We assist you with scheduling the interivews and always check in before and after to ensure that the process is going smoothly.

Replacement policies

We have a great success rate for long-term placement but in rare cases, the Nanny may not work out as you had hoped. We are happy to help our client families find a replacement nanny free of charge within the appropriate time frame.

Benefits to offer

Nannies typically receive paid vacation, paid sick, and paid federal holidays. Some families choose to offer a yearly amount towards health insurance. The benefits are completely negotiable on what the family and nanny are comfortable on. We also help you understand taxes for your nanny.
